‘The Sun’ releases first picture

The first onset image of ‘The Sun’ has been unveiled.

Majid Majidi’s latest project which is to vie at the Fajr Film Festival has release the first official picture.

Popular ifilm star Javad Ezzati has appeared in the movie.

Written by Nima Javidi and jointly produced by Majidi and Amir Banan, the social drama focuses on labor kids.

Other details of ‘The Sun’ are yet to be announced.

Majidi is one of Iran’s prominent filmmakers. His movie ‘Children of Heaven’ was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in the late 1990s.

His movies, including ‘The Color of Heaven’ (1999) and ‘Baran’ (2000), attended various international film festivals and garnered many awards.
